The Board is established to protect the hearing impaired public of North Carolina by registering, licensing, and regulating those who fit and sell hearing aids. The Board regulates Apprentices and Licensees according to Chapter 93D of the North Carolina General Statutes and Title 21, Chapter 22 of the North Carolina Administrative Code.



The NC Hearing Aid Dealers & Fitters Licensing Board has no jurisdiction with over-the-counter hearing aids and have no recommendations regarding the FDA decision.
